The Department of Defense announced the death of a Soldier who was supporting Operation Enduring Freedom, Wednesday.

Cpl. Kevin White, 22, of Westfield, N.Y., died May 2, in the Kunar province of Afghanistan, of wounds suffered when insurgents attacked his unit using an improvised explosive device.

White was assigned to the 2nd Battalion, 35th Infantry Regiment, “Cacti,” 3rd Brigade Combat Team, 25th Infantry Division.

    You will be missed very much Cpl White. You were a great person to know and my husband Sgt McCarter was devastated to hear of your lose. We have your family and your friends in our prays. Also we have all the soldier that are over in Afganastan right now fighting for what we all believe in. Thank you to Cpl White for his sacerfise and the rest of the men and women over there.
