Employee Town Hall — Col. Education Survey — Deadline is March 30 to complete a Hawaii State Department of Education survey that will help schools set priorities for improving programs and services. Parents whose children are enrolled in grades 4, 5, 7, 8, 9 and 11 are being asked to complete the survey. Individual survey responses are confidential. Email questions to or call 733-4008.


Great Minds Service Awards — Deadline is March 30 to submit nominations for Hispanics in Science, Technology, Engineering and Math, or STEM. Visit for nomination package requirements. Tax Centers — The Hawaii Army Tax Center at Fort Shafter is located in the Aloha Center and is open 9 a.m.-3 p.m., Tuesdays and Thursdays. Soldiers, family members and retirees can schedule their appointments for either location by calling 655-1040. AER — The Army Emergency Relief annual campaign runs through May 15. AER also accepts unsolicited donations from individual donors and corporations throughout the year. AER assistance is available to Soldiers, retirees and their families. Visit
