3rd BCT comes home just in time for Easter

WHEELER ARMY AIRFIELD — The last main body flight of Soldiers of the 3rd Brigade Combat Team “Bronco Brigade,” 25th Infantry Division, will return, 11 a.m., April 8, here.

This last main body flight, scheduled to arrive Easter Sunday, will also carry Col. Richard Kim, commander, 3rd BCT, and Command Sgt. Maj. Andrew Spano, senior enlisted leader, 3rd BCT.

The Bronco Bde. spent the last year in the eastern region of Afghanistan in support of Operation Enduring Freedom. During the deployment, Soldiers conducted counterinsurgency operations in some of the most deadly provinces in Afghanistan, to include the highly kinetic Kunar province, home to the Pech River Valley.

They have seen many victories and made a distinguishable difference during their time serving the Afghan people.
