Month of the Military Child — Through April, patrons 18 years of age and younger can show their military ID at Schofield Barracks and WAAF bowling centers when buying games to win one hour of free bowling on one lane for the winner and up to six friends. Offer includes shoe rental. The winner will be notified at the end of April, and is limited to one entry per visit. Call 655-0573.

Fun Fest and Earth Day — Event is 8:30 a.m.-2 p.m., April 7, Weyand Field, Schofield Barracks. Keiki can start the day with the Enchanted Character Breakfast starting at 8:30 a.m. Buy breakfast tickets at the Leisure Travel Office or by calling 655-9971. Breakfast box includes an egg and cheese biscuit, fruit, Danish, juice, mask and bubbles (while supplies last). Fun Fest activities include entertainment performances by School of Knowledge, Inspiration, Exploration, and Skills, or SKIES Unlimited; games; rides; inflatables; and pictures with the Easter bunny. Swim Classes Cancelled — Due to cancellation of “Learn to Swim” classes for March, there will be no Learn to Swim class registration on April 7-8. Students who registered for the March classes will be carried over to the session scheduled in April. The next scheduled registration for Learn to Swim classes is 9:30 a.m., May 5-6 at Richardson Pool, until filled. Call 655-1128. Visit to see all Learn to Swim class sessions.


Ladies Golf Clinic — Leilehua Golf Course holds a free ladies golf clinic, 1:30-3 p.m., every first Saturday of the month. Call 655-4653.

Free Hula Classes — The Native Hawaiian Liaison Office, USAG-HI, conducts free hula classes for Soldiers and families. Beginner classes are 5-6 p.m.; advanced classes are 6-7 p.m. Call 655-9694 or email Class dates follow:

ACS Classes — Dates, times and locations of upcoming events follow:
•Financial Readiness Program actions (other than Army Emergency Relief Loans). A financial counselor will be available at the Fort Shafter ACS Office, Room 111, every Tuesday until further notice. Make an appointment by calling 438-9285.
•Survivor Outreach Services, 5-8:30 p.m., April 10, Fort Shafter Aloha Center, Room 104, Building 330, Survivor Support Group meeting for all survivors and battle buddies. Pizza and refreshments will be provided. Call 438-9285.
