Suicide Prevention — September is Suicide Prevention Month. The National Suicide Prevention Lifeline is a free, 24-hour crisis intervention hotline and online service provided by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration.

The service is available to anyone in suicidal crisis or emotional distress, to include military members and their families, Guard and Reserve service members, Individual Ready Reserve and Individual Mobilization augmentees.
