War Memorial — The state seeks input on the design and location of a newly planned memorial to give tangible and visible recognition of the sacrifices and contributions of veterans from Hawaii who served in the Persian Gulf War, Operation Desert Storm, Operation Iraqi Freedom, Operation Enduring Freedom, Operation New Dawn, Global War on Terrorism, Homeland Defense, and Operation Noble Eagle.

Suicide Prevention — September is Suicide Prevention Month. The National Suicide Prevention Lifeline is a free, 24-hour crisis intervention hotline and online service provided by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration.
