Traffic Report

25th ID Change of Command — Tropic Lightning conducts a change of command ceremony, 10 a.m., on Schofield’s Weyand Field. Roads will be closed approximately 10 minutes around the field during the salute battery portion of the ceremony. Affected intersections include Trimble Road and Cadet Sheridan Road, Cadet Sheridan Road and Elou Street, Humphries Road and Trimble Road, and Humphries Road and Burr Place.

Arrive On Time — HDOT advises motorists of eastbound weekend lane closures on the H1 Freeway Airport Viaduct, beginning tonight at 9 p.m. and continuing until 7 a.m., Sunday. Drivers should note that traffic patterns will be changing as work progresses and speeds are reduced to 35 mph in the freeway construction zone and to 15 mph while crews are doing concrete pours.

Please slow down for your safety and the safety of the workers. The fine for speeding in the construction zone is $307.

The work schedule is eastbound only and as follows:

•There will be multiple left lanes closed on the H1 viaduct between Hickam AFB/Naval Base off ramp (Exit 15) and Middle Street/Dillingham Boulevard off ramp (Exit 18B), from 9 p.m., for hydro-demolition and concrete pouring. The speed limit will be reduced to 15 mph from 4 p.m., Saturday, through 7 a.m., Sunday morning, so the concrete can cure properly.

•Two left lanes directly below on Nimitz Highway will be closed between Valkenburgh Street and Catlin Drive on Saturday, May 3, from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m., for demolition work.
