HONOLULU — Halau Hula O Maiki, under the direction of kumu hula Coline Aiu, perform at last year's Prince Lot Hula Festival at Moanalua Gardens, here. The public is invited to a fun-filled day of dance, food and festivities under the shady monkeypod trees of Moanalua Gardens during the 37th annual Prince Lot Hula Festival, 9 a.m.-4 p.m. This year’s theme is “Kila Kila O Moanalua … Majestic is Moanalua.” The largest noncompetitive hula event in Hawaii, the festival is held each year to honor Prince Lot Kapuaiwa, who reprised the once-forbidden hula in the district of Moanalua.
