I hope you folks weather this hurricane well. We have weathered several here on the east coast of the US. I have subscribed to your site for several years and really love it. My late father was in the 161st Infantry of the 25th Infantry Division on Luzon in WWII. When you get thru with weather and things get back to normal could you tell me what 25th Infantry Division museums or things are open and accessible to the public on Oahu. We visited in 2007 but I really did not know what was available and other than visiting the normal Pearl Harbor stuff really did not know where to go. I appreciate your emails greatly.

Greetings! — Thanks for contacting the Hawaii Army Weekly. You can visit the U.S. Army Museum of Hawaii, located at Fort DeRussy, in Waikiki, and the Tropic Lightning Museum, located at Schofield Barracks. Other sites are available, too, such as the Pacific Aviation Museum and Battleship Missouri, both on Ford Island. The Pililaau Army Recreation Center and the Hale Koa Hotel, an Armed Forces Recreation Center, may also be of interest. Call our Community Relations Office at (808) 656-3158 or 656-3159 for more information. Aloha, HAW staff.
