Kolekole — The Army Kolekole Walking/Hiking Trail is open this weekend, 5:30 a.m.-6:30 p.m to DOD ID cardholders and their guests. Do not park at the trail from 6:30 p.m.-5:30 a.m. Violators will be ticketed. Use of the trail is permitted only during open hours.

Prescribed Burn — The garrison will conduct an annual prescribed burn of the Schofield Barracks training range complex, May 10-20, in coordination with Federal Fire. The prescribed burn is a proactive safety measure to prevent wildfires during the dry months ahead by reducing highly flammable guinea grass and other vegetation in the area.

Celebrations — An Asian-Pacific American Heritage Month observance will be held at Fort Shafter’s Hale Ikena, noon to 1 p.m. A second observance takes place at Schofield Barracks’ Warrior Inn, May 28, 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m.

AG Ball — Attend the Adjutant General Corps’ 240th year Celebration Ball at the Sheraton Waikiki. AGCRA members receive a $10 discount. There will be several door prizes, and ball tickets are redeemable at several local establishments for discounts.

AER Ends The 2015 Army Emergency Relief campaign “Making a Difference” is ending, today. Donation forms are available at the Schofield Barracks Army Community Service or at any Community Readiness Expo held at the Nehelani on Thursdays.

Memorial Day — The garrison hosts a Memorial Day remembrance ceremony, 10 a.m., at the Schofield Barracks Post Cemetery. Visitors should enter Schofield via Lyman Gate, off Kunia Road, and provide current ID, registration, insurance and safety check.

Counterintelligence — The Army’s CI special agent recruiting team will be on Schofield Barracks at the 500th Military Intelligence Brigade’s conference room (Bldg. 130/1, Quad A), 3:30-4:30 p.m. The presentation will provide information about the career field (MOS 35L) and is intended primarily for grades E-4/5. Reassignment Renovations — The garrison’s Directorate of Human Resources, Military Personnel Division Reassignment Section, will be closed until May 26 for renovations. There will be no reassignments levy brief today or May 28.

Dedication — The 19th Military Police Battalion (CID) will host a ribbon cutting and building dedication ceremony at 2 p.m. at its new headquarters at 1045 Kelly Road, Bldg. 1411, in the newly constructed facilities at South Range, Schofield Barracks. Call 656-3455.

EEO Training — Mandatory annual training for civilian employees/supervisors and military supervisors of civilian employees takes place today and June 17 at Schofield Barracks’ Nehelani, and again at Fort Shafter’s Hale Ikena, June 22-23. Fingerprinting — The garrison’s Installation Security Office in Bldg. 580, Rm. 130, Schofield Barracks, will be conducting digital fingerprinting of personnel for security background investigations, weekdays, 8:30 a.m.-noon and 1-4:30 p.m.
