WAIMANALO — USO Hawaii presents Twilight Tribute to the Troops, an exclusive outing for military members and their families to enjoy Sea Life Park for free, beginning at 2:30 p.m., Saturday, June 20, with valid military or dependent ID. The park will be closed to the public during the event so that Hawaii’s military families can enjoy all Sea Life’s shows and attractions, plus giveaways and keiki activities. The night will culminate with special entertainment, featuring performances from a famed luau show. Hiking — The Schofield Barracks Kolekole Walking/Hiking Trail is open this weekend, Saturday and Sunday, 5:30 a.m.-6:30 p.m., to DOD ID cardholders and their guests. Note, do not park at the trail from 6:30 p.m.-5:30 a.m. Violators will be ticketed. Trail use is permitted only during open hours.
King Kamehameha Hula Competition — 42nd annual international competition begins at 1 p.m. at the Neal Blaisdell Arena; includes both contemporary and traditional hula styles. Tickets can be purchased online at www.ticketmaster.com or call the box office 768-5252.

Ikaika Bodybuilding Championships — Neal Blaisdell Concert Hall doors open at 4 p.m., Saturday, with the show beginning at 5 p.m. Visit theikaika.com.

Rodeo — Dita Holifield’s All American Rodeo brings music, petting zoos, crafts, food and hard-riding entertainment to the New Town and Country Stables in Waimanalo, Thursday and Friday nights.
Gates open at 5:30 p.m., and the rodeo begins at 7 p.m. Saturday, gates open at 10:30 a.m. with a noon rodeo.

Transition Summit — Soldiers transitioning from military to civilian life in the next 12-18 months are invited to this summit, July 7-8. It will include a job fair (or hiring event), multiple roundtable discussions, employment workshops, a networking event and up to 100 national and local employers in attendance. Spouses and veterans are welcome, too.
