Update — Based on the latest data at 3:57 p.m., a major tsunami is not expected to strike the state of Hawaii. However, sea level changes and strong currents may provide a hazard to swimmers and boaters. All are encouraged to stay out of the water. Note, the threat may continue for several hours after the initial wave arrival. Listen to the local news and review http://ptwc.weather.gov/  for more updates.
