WAHIAWA — On Sept. 25, Paws for a Cause recognized members of Company D, 53rd Signal Battalion, here, for their volunteer service over the summer.

Volunteers helped renovate the Paws for a Cause downstairs space, painting interior walls, installing heavy recycled rubber flooring material for a new dog run, adhering it to the floor, installing baseboards and moving heavy furniture into the new space.

Paws for a Cause is a Kaneohe dog day care and boarding program of the nonprofit organization Hale Kipa, which provides services to at-risk youth and young adults.
