Today

Town Traffic — Two southbound lanes will be closed on Liliha Street between Vineyard Boulevard and North King Street, from 9 a.m., today, through 6 p.m. Sunday, April 24, as part of the Liliha Street Rehabilitation project. This is the second of three weekend closures necessary to complete the project. HDOT will notify the public in advance of the final weekend of work.

All projects are weather permitting.

— H-1 FREEWAY —

1) KALIHI (WEEKEND/NIGHT WORK)
Closure of the Middle Street Off-Ramp (Exit 19A) on the H-1 Freeway in the westbound direction on Friday night, April 22, through Saturday morning, April 23, from 9:30 p.m. to 3 a.m. for pavement striping and marker installations.

2) PEARL CITY (WEEKEND/NIGHT WORK)
Up to four lanes closed on the H-1 Freeway in both directions between the Kamehameha Highway Overpass and the Waiawa Road Overpass on Sunday night, April 24, through Friday morning, April 29, from 8 p.m. to 4 a.m., nightly, for the rail project.

The number of lanes closed will vary depending on the location of the roadwork.

3) WAIPAHU (WEEKEND/NIGHT WORK)
Closure of the Waipahu Off-Ramp (Exit 8B) from the H-1 Freeway in the westbound direction on Sunday night, April 24, through Friday morning, April 29, from 9 p.m. to 4 a.m., nightly, for the rail project.

— H-201 MOANALUA FREEWAY —

1) HALAWA (WEEKEND/NIGHT WORK)
Partial closure of the H-201 Moanalua Freeway On-Ramp to Kamehameha Highway in the westbound direction on Sunday night, April 24, through Saturday morning, April 30, over a 24-hour period for the rail project.

2) MOANALUA (WEEKEND/NIGHT WORK)
Alternating lane closure on the H-201 Moanalua Freeway in both directions between the Middle Street Overpass and the Halawa Interchange on Sunday night, April 24, through Friday morning, April 29, from 9 p.m. to 3 a.m., nightly, for surveying work.

— FARRINGTON HIGHWAY —

1) NANAKULI (WEEKEND WORK)
Left lane closure on Farrington Highway in both directions between the Aliinui Drive Overpass and Pohakunui Avenue on Saturday, April 23, from 6 a.m. to 2 p.m. for maintenance work.

2) PEARL CITY (WEEKEND/NIGHT WORK)
Closure of the Farrington Highway eastbound off-ramp to the northbound H-2 Freeway on Sunday night, April 24, through Friday morning, April 29, from 9 p.m. to 4 a.m., nightly, for the rail project.

3) PEARL CITY (WEEKEND/NIGHT WORK)
Lane closures on Farrington Highway in both directions between Waiawa Road and the Kamehameha Highway Overpass on Sunday night, April 24, through Friday morning, April 29, from 8 p.m. to 4 a.m., nightly, for the rail project.

4) WAIPAHU (WEEKEND/NIGHT WORK)
Closure of the Farrington Highway eastbound off-ramp to the H-1 Freeway on Sunday night, April 24, through Friday morning, April 29, from 9 p.m. to 4 a.m., nightly, for the rail project.

Lane closure on westbound Farrington Highway to southbound Fort Weaver Road on Sunday night, April 24, through Friday morning, April 29, from 9 p.m. to 4 a.m., nightly, for the rail project.

Honolulu Rail Transit will be working on Kamehameha Highway this week at various locations.

·24/7 lane closures in both directions between Waiawa Road and Kaonohi Street.
·Lane closures in both directions at the Acacia Road Intersection.
·24/7 lane closures in both directions between Pali Momi Street and Honomanu Street.
·Lane closure in the westbound direction between Lipoa Place and Pali Momi Street.
·Lane closures in the eastbound direction between Honomanu Street and Salt Lake Boulevard, Monday through Friday.

— NIMITZ HIGHWAY —

1) KALIHI (WEEKEND WORK)
Right lane closure on Nimitz Highway in the westbound direction between Alakawa Street and Sand Island Access Road on Saturday, April 23, from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. for electrical work.

2) PEARL HARBOR (WEEKEND WORK)
Lane closures on Nimitz Highway in the eastbound direction between O’Malley Boulevard and Valkenburgh Street on Saturday, April 23, from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. for underground utility repairs.

— PALI HIGHWAY —

1) MAUNAWILI (WEEKEND WORK)
Right lane closure on the Pali Highway in the Honolulu-bound direction between Kamehameha Highway and the Pali Tunnel on Saturday, April 23, from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. for maintenance work.

— LILIHA STREET —

1) HONOLULU (WEEKEND/NIGHT WORK)
Two lanes closed on Liliha Street in the southbound direction between Vineyard Boulevard and North King Street from 9 a.m., on Friday, April 22, through 6 p.m. on Sunday, April 24, for roadway reconstruction. Traffic will be contraflowed to provide one travel lane in either direction. Left turns will be restricted at all intersections. Special duty police officers will assist with traffic flow.

— MIDDLE STREET —

1) KALIHI (WEEKEND/NIGHT WORK)
Lane closures on Middle Street in both directions between North King Street and Kamehameha Highway on Friday night, April 22, through Saturday morning, April 23, and Monday night, April 25, through Saturday morning, April 30, from 7 p.m. to 4 a.m., nightly, for the Middle Street Pavement Reconstruction project. Traffic will be contraflowed, and some turns may be restricted.

There may be a 24/7 lane closure in both directions within the construction zone. Signage will be posted instructing pedestrians to use the east sidewalk.

—SALT LAKE BOULEVARD —

1) HALAWA (WEEKEND/NIGHT WORK)
Closure of Salt Lake Boulevard in the eastbound direction between Kamehameha Highway and Kalaloa Street on Sunday night, April 24, through Friday morning, April 29, from 8 p.m. to 4 a.m., nightly, for the rail project. Eastbound traffic will be detoured to Kalaloa Street.

— FORT WEAVER ROAD —

1) WAIPAHU (WEEKEND/NIGHT WORK)
Closure of the Fort Weaver Road ramps to Farrington Highway on Sunday night, April 24, through Friday morning, April 29, from 9 p.m. to 4 a.m., nightly, for the rail project.

— KEAHUMOA STREET —

Alternating 24/7 lane closures of Keahumoa Street near the Kroc Center in both directions on Sunday, April 24, through Saturday, April 30, for the rail project.

 

29 / Friday

Krukowski — Tripler’s Krukowski Road, north of the Fisher House, is scheduled to finish construction work today. The original plan was for construction to be completed last fall.

 

30 / Saturday

Lauhala Closures — The road closure along Wheeler’s Lauhala Road in the housing area is scheduled to end today. The completion date of this traffic control plan was impacted by weather and was extended.

13 / Friday

Kubo Completion — Intermittent weekday road closures, from Fort Shafter’s Bldg. T-126 to the intersection of Kubo and Funston Road at Bldg. 12, are scheduled to conclude today.

 

14 / Saturday

Power Outage IconPower Outages — The following areas on Schofield Barracks will see a power outage, 7 a.m.-3:30 p.m.: affecting Akolea Point Housing, the motor pool and areas between McMahon and Menoher on Sutton, Capron and Reily Streets.

18 / Monday

Power Outage — The following buildings along Mathews Ave., Schofield Barracks, will be without power, 7 a.m.-3:30 p.m., to install an electrical transformer: 2026, 2027, 2029, 2031, 2032, 2033, 2034, 2098, 3030, 2037, 2038 and 2040.

Revised Lyman/Flagler — There are traffic modifications, weekdays, 7 a.m.-4 p.m., at Schofield’s intersection of Lyman and Flagler to widen Lyman Road, add a dedicated left turn lane, and add traffic and pedestrian signals to the intersection, until Aug. 12.

Construction will be phased, so road widening will be performed first, providing an additional lane. The majority of the project will allow traffic to flow in both directions of Lyman and Flagler. Turns will be limited at the intersection to provide two lanes of traffic.

 

Airdrome Road — One-lane road closures along Wheeler’s Airdrome Road from the sewage treatment plant to the flight simulator continue weekdays, 8 a.m.-3:30 p.m., until June 30.

 

Menoher — There will be a road closure on Schofield’s Menoher Road, between Capron and Sutton avenues, for utility installation. Traffic will be detoured around the construction area through Reilly Avenue, Williston Avenue, Cadet Sheridan Road and Sutton. The work will be performed 8:30 a.m.-5:30 p.m. until the end of May.
