COMMISSARIES OFFER EXTRA SAVINGS FOR HALLOWEEN, OKTOBERFEST AND MORE. The weather is turning cooler in many parts of the country, but savings at your commissary are heating up for the fall season.

“As the leaves are beginning to fall, so are the prices at your commissary,” said Tracie Russ, DeCA’s director of sales. “Visit your store to find great prices on a variety of Halloween candy, seasonal savings and other promotions.”

Throughout the month of October, military commissaries are offering discounts beyond everyday savings. DeCA encourages customers to check displays at the end of the aisles, where stores showcase products with extra-low prices. Overseas stores may have substitute events for certain promotional programs. Customers should check with their store manager to verify when they will be offering the following sales or visit their store page to verify what’s available at their particular store. To read the complete story, go to commissaries.com.

COMMISSARY PATRONS CAN SAVE MUCH ON THEIR CRITICAL SUPPLIES. Now through Oct. 31, DeCA’s severe weather preparedness promotional package is offering various items at reduced prices to help patrons prepare their survival kits. This package includes beef jerky and other assorted meat snacks, soup and chili mixes, canned goods, powdered milk, cereals, batteries, airtight bags, weather-ready flashlights, tape (all-weather, heavy-duty shipping and duct), first-aid kits, lighters, matches, lanterns, candles, hand sanitizer and anti-bacterial wipes.

Specific promotional items may vary from store to store. For more information, go to commissaries.com for links to disaster preparedness resources. Military families can also learn more on emergency procedures specific to them.
