Nothing makes me prouder than rendering a salute to the flag. No matter what time of the day or what I doing. That being said, I think that the lack of participation with soldiers in vehicles comes from a significant need for modernization of the PA system. Simply put more PA's should be placed around post to make it easier for persons in vehicles to here the bugle sounds. Including; Housing Areas, Area X, Bowman Park Area, and the North West side of post.

This has been my 4th year of working with the Navy Hale Keike School, some children have been there the whole time and when they came to visit and deliver the goods they were able to share how much they have learned. This is an excellent opportunity and example for people to realize how a small gesture can make a huge impact. The families enjoyed seeing the children and having sounds of youth fill the halls. Mahalo to all though who supported this partnership and continue to share our mission.

This LSS project works because the telephone numbers do not. Another fine example of taking care of soldiers. The system does not WORK!!!!!

The two initiatives began June 2011 as a Lean Six Sigma project launched by David Vreeland, chief, Strategy and Innovation, PRDC Headquarters. “The days of dialing 10 different phone numbers in an effort to reach one of the three Army dental clinics located in Hawaii are over,” Vreeland said. “Soldiers will no longer hear a busy signal or the phone ringing endlessly without being answered. Soldiers will now select the clinic they are assigned to through an automated voice prompt system.”

Soldiers get automatically cut-off, so there is NO busy signals or endless ringing.

CPT Coleman,

The Master Resiliency Course is part of the Comprehensive Soldier Fitness Program, and it is available through Army Community Service. Please call 655-4227 to speak with Dr. Chu to get information on upcoming classes or have this course taught to a unit.

Fernando,

No, you can't drive on post without the Basic Rider Course certification, per Army Regs. If you are redeploying as part of a large unit, classes are already being scheduled for when the chalks return. You can register for these courses at https://apps.imcom.army.mil/airs/ or you can take a motorcycle safety course through the state.
