Four junior enlisted and four noncommissioned officers from the 8th Theater Sustainment Command tested their mettle in the weeklong 2014 8th TSC Best Warrior Competition, here, April 7-11.
The 536th enabled retrograde operations and inspected and repaired nearly 10,000 work orders, enabling recovery operations, explained Droppleman.
“I hope this service helps you stay resilient and prepare for the mission ahead.”
“The last time I have done training like this is when I was deployed to Kuwait. I love this type of training.”
“We want to send the message the brigade cares about you and your future goals and aspirations, while aligning with the Comprehensive Soldier and Family Fitness Campaign (CSF2), said Lt. Col. Gregory Wagnon, deputy commander of the brigade.
“The idea was to step out of the box and get some great resiliency training in,” said Sgt. 1st Class Ian Cutting, brigade mental readiness coordinator. “Instead of just the typical brigade run, we wanted to make it a fun event for family members, as well.”
The SC(E)’s advance party of 20 Soldiers set up their EECP within 72 hours, just in time for an additional 20 personnel to arrive and man the station.
It happens more often than people seem to realize. People suffer.
