Hawaii Army National Guard combat medics trained alongside Malaysian army medical personnel to practice first responder casualty care as part of Exercise Keris Aman 2015 at the Segenting Camp, here, Aug. 12.
Company C, 29th Brigade Support Battalion, Hawaii Army National Guard, did its best to live up to its motto, “Charlie Leads the Way,” as eighteen of its medical personnel provided support at Tripler Army Medical Center and Schofield Barracks Health Clinic, July 13-24.
“They’ve served in assignments spanning the globe, from Korea to Kuwait, Afghanistan to Aberdeen Proving Grounds, Bragg to Bagram, Hungary to Hawaii, Iraq to Indonesia, Jackson to Japan, Seoul to Saudi Arabia, Fort Sam to Fort Shafter and other scenic spots.”
Closing ceremonies for the 10th Disaster Management Exchange, or DME, were held, here, on Hainan Island, China, Jan. 18.
This year’s theme for the historic event focused on “Preserving the Memory,” ensuring that the memories of the attack on Oahu and World War II live on through each passing generation.
The two armies underwent a combined field training exercise emphasizing jungle survival, mounted and dismount infantry operations, combined aviation training, medical care and humanitarian assistance, and they synchronized and executed combined tactical operations.
