Furthermore, the entire regiment was also awarded a second Presidential Unit Citation for its involvement in the Battle of Remagen.

The regiment was temporarily disbanded and was reinstated due to the Iraq War:

The 14th Calvary Regiment was officially disbanded in 1972. However, the regiment was reinstated in 2000 and remains active to this day. Cav 14 was reactivated on the 15th of September 2000 and was the US Army’s very first reconnaissance, surveillance and target acquisition squadron in the Iraq War.

It has an official motto:
