Useful Tips if You’re Stationed in Hawaii

July 23, 2020 by Anton Leave a Comment

If you’re lucky enough to be stationed in Hawaii, which is paradise on Earth, continue reading to discover a few useful tips to keep in mind, when you’re stationed in Hawaii. Which are just as useful if you’ve just moved to Hawaii or if you’ve been stationed in Hawaii for several years.

Useful tips if you’re stationed in Hawaii:

Make a habit out of reading the Hawaii Army Weekly Newspaper:

If you want to stay up to date with all of the latest Hawaii based military stories, it’s a great idea to get into the habit of reading the Hawaii Army Weekly Newspaper. Especially if you want to stay informed of all the latest developments at each army base in Hawaii. As an example, you may read about new training simulations such as the rvtt army simulations.

As a bonus, you’ll also get to learn about inspirational individuals who serve the US Army and up coming events for active military staff, which you may want to attend. As most of the bases in Hawaii offer frequent social events, which are well worth attending.

Make the most of your off duty time:

Whenever you have a few days off, it’s a great idea to explore a different part of Hawaii. As an example, if you’re rostered to enjoy a free days off in a row, you may want to book a plane flight to Maui or Big Island. As there’s far more to Hawaii, then Oahu, Honolulu and Waikiki. As an example, if you like the idea of hiking near active volcanoes, you may want to plan a quick getaway to Big Island. While if you like the idea of going whale watching and discovering black sand beaches, you may be interested in planning a trip to Maui.

Even if you choose to stay on Oahu, you’ll be able to hike to stunning waterfalls and take part in adventures activities such as surfing, body boarding, snorkelling, scuba diving, horse riding, four wheel dirt biking and mountain biking.

Don’t take your time in Hawaii for granted:

While you may feel as if you hit the jackpot when you first found out that you would be stationed in Hawaii, never take living in paradise for granted. As you never know when you may be posted to another base. Instead get involved in your base’s community and take every opportunity that you et to explore Hawaii. As Hawaii is definitely one of the most stunning locations on Earth and one of the best places in the world to be stationed.
